SOLAR ROOF TOP

Consulting

We offer our solar consulting services to our clients to identify right solutions for the energy needs. To best understand the requirements, Suninfiniti undertakes a comprehensive analysis covering the following aspects:

1. Project feasibility study -

  • Detailed discussion to understand the requirements.
  • Assessment of the need for solar project.
  • Preliminary site & technical analysis.
  • State policy & regulatory analysis.
  • Analyze project viability enablers like Feed in tariff, Accelerated depreciation, Tax benefit, Subsidy etc.
  • Budget and cost analysis.
  • ROI, Yield and financial modeling.
  • Risk, challenges and success factors.

2. Planning and coordination – Ground work before the project starts

  • Project design.
  • Project schedule plan.
  • Allotment of right resources to the project.
  • Liaison with manufacturers and other vendors involved.

3. Project execution – Implementation as per the project design and plan

  • Installation and monitoring.
  • Quality and cost control.
  • Testing and commissioning of the project.
  • Project documentation.

Implementation

We provide end to end Solar PV Roof top solutions. We offer business solutions for the following:

1. Residential Houses

The residential houses can leverage their terrace space to generate power. The parts of country where there is irregular power supply, solar roof top solution is an excellent solution. This will reduce the dependency on the grid and reduce the electricity bill as well. At places where there is regular supply without any interruptions, the solar roof top solution can generate power which can be self consumed and also sold to the grid to generate income.

2. Residential societies

The terrace space on the buildings is limited and flat residents do not individual ownership. The residential societies have power requirements for their common loads such as lifts, outdoor, parking etc. Hence this can leveraged for the solar roof top solution to power the common area needs. This will also reduce the electricity bill to greater extent.

3. Commercial establishments, Hospitals, Resorts, Educational institutes etc.

The commercial tariff of electricity for the commercial establishment is much higher. This is on continuous rise and hence impacting the Opex cost of the establishments. Also, the commercial establishments are struggling with the irregular power supply. They are required to switch to diesel generators which are cost intensive and also impact the environment. The solar roof top solution is an excellent choice to satisfy a large part of the power requirement.

Types of Roof top solutions :

As mentioned above, the solar roof top solution is an excellent source to generate electricity. Typically, there are two types of implementation as mentioned below. This is identified during the project assessment phase.

Off Grid Solar systems

Off Grid Solar System

Off grid or autonomous solar systems are installed in locations where utility grid access is limited or impossible. It is also commonly employed in the areas where power grid access is expensive or where there is continuous risk of blackouts. Off grid systems requires additional components like additional charge controller and batteries. The power that is generated by the renewable energy source initially charges the batteries through the charge controller. The inverter helps to regulate the voltage and converts the DC power to AC (what normal home appliances require). Off grid provides energy independence and a feeling of self reliance.

Grid Tie Solar systems
  • Net metering

Off Grid Solar System

Typical Off Grid Solar System

A grid-tied photovoltaic system allows you to harvest energy from the sun, convert it into electricity, and use it to power your home or business. The PV system supplies power to the grid as well as to a specific building, making the utility a kind of storage bank for PV-generated power. When the solar system can put out power, it goes to reducing your usage at the time, or, if there is excess, to spinning the meter backwards, counting down your electric use and your bill. The system is comprised of the solar array, the inverter(s), current disconnects, and the meter. Many systems allow you to track your output on-line.

On Grid Tie solar rooftop installation you will be able to sell power as per the prevailing tariff determined by KERC from time to time.

  • Gross metering

The Commission has introduced gross metering for Domestic, Hospital and Educational institution Consumers wherein consumers are allowed to sell entire energy generated by their solar rooftop and small PV plants to the ESCOMs irrespective of their self-consumption.
